Allied Universal currently have an opportunity to join their team as a Security Account Manager, working on a newly acquired contract to the business. The customer are a corporate, global financial business working out of modern office spaces in Central London, Reigate, Ipswich and Redhill.
In this role, you will be expected to manage, monitor and mentor, but personally exemplify the high standards of presentation, excellent knowledge of security and maintaining first-rate customer service skills at all times.
You will also be the spearhead of the Security team, as you will be the first point of contact for the client and stakeholders, and all the Security team. With responsibility for all client locations in the UK, you will need to ensure that all of your staff are both welcoming and representative of the 'five-star' feel of the premises and our client that we are representing.
Your role is effectively dual-natured in that you are expected to deliver day-to-day operations (encompassing staffing, Compliance, H&S, Reporting, physical security, etc.), and be looking to the future through developing a contract strategy that informs (and is informed by) our client's Risk Management process, encourages innovation, and ultimately delivers a proactive service for each location that meets the expectations laid out in our Contract Development plan.
To be successful as the Security Account Manager you will need to operate in a "strategic" space, delegating and assigning "tactical" tasks to Site Managers and Supervisors. You will need to engage with our client and stakeholders as a matter of routine and become a trusted advisor.
The role offers the following:
- £70,000 per annum.
- 50 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
- Paid travel to Ipswich, Reigate and Redhill.
This role will require you to travel to all four locations.
Your Time at Work
- Deliver client engagement on a routine basis.
- Ensuring all posts are staffed daily with fully trained, fully uniformed, fully equipped staff.
- Attending weekly meetings with the Facility Services team.
- Conducting audits and ensuring staff are compliant with their KPI's.
- Ensuring that each post has a full set of paperwork, signed off and understood by the officers operating those posts.
- Staff development, appraisals, one to one meetings and disciplinary hearings for the Security team.
- Working closely with the FM teams and buildings management to ensure that all defects and repairs are carried out.
- Keeping documentation and reporting up to date and accurate.
- Conducting risk assessments and updating procedures where necessary.
- Monitoring the SOP's for every position, ensuring they remain updated and current, with the Officers being fully conversant.
- Approving holiday and managing absence management within the Security team.
- To manage all procedural and compliance aspects of the Security team.
- Conducting and reporting audits to Senior Management.
- To take ownership of any problems presented to you by your staff, AUS management, and clients ensuring satisfactory outcomes to their queries.
- To uphold the 'five-star customer service' attitude through leadership.
- To have awareness of the business and brand identity, the risk they have.
- Lead employee engagement, development and succession planning
- Identify, monitor and report on contract KPI's, identifying areas of opportunity and/or risk, and working with others in the business to develop action plans to address any areas of underperformance
- Reconciliation of invoicing and controlling debt/ cash flow
- Liaison with the AU training team to ensure that all staff are fully trained.
- Liaison with the AU team to organise requirements for equipment, uniform and external training.
- Liaison with the AU recruitment team for new staff interview, review and induction.
- To act as a stand in Duty Manager in the absence of an Associate
Our Perfect Worker
- Holds a valid SG or DS license, as well as a CCTV license.
- Previous security management experience.
- To be flexible to work Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm.
