HGV Class 1 Driver

Great opportunity to work as an HGV Class 1 Driver for our clients nationwide, palletised temperature-controlled distribution delivering to major RDC's wholesalers and industrial customers.

Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for our prestigious client's site based in Stafford.

Base Pay Rates (Dynamic):
- Weekdays: £16.13 per hour
- Weeknights: £17.17 per hour
- Saturday Day: £19.25 per hour
- Saturday Night: £20.29 per hour
- Sunday Day: £20.29 per hour
- Sunday Night: £21.33 per hour

Fixed shift patterns and ad hoc work available.

Your Time at Work

As a HGV Class 1 Driver your duties include:

- Nationwide deliveries and collections for many customers
- Trunking, store deliveries, or RDC runs (depending on the role)
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations

Our Perfect Worker

As an HGV Class 1 driver, you will ideally have:

- 1 year experience minimum of HGV driving experience
- No more than 6 points
- Digi card and DQC
- U.K. driving licence C+E
