Great opportunity to work as a Butcher for our client's butchery operation, processing pork products.
Staffline is recruiting Butchers in St Austell, Bugle.
The rate of pay starts at £12.21 per hour, which will increase with additional training.
Overtime is available and is paid at £18 per hour, which will increase with additional training.
This role offers both full and part-time hours, working fixed shifts, and the hours of work are:
- Monday - Thursday 5:25am to 2:50pm and Friday 5:25am to 2:20pm
Your Time at Work
As a Butcher, your duties include:
- Cutting, boning, and trimming meat against strict specifications.
- Checking the product against specifications (size, weight, colour, packaging, etc.).
- Working on a line of 15 alongside a supervisor who will provide training.
- Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness procedures are followed at all times (e.g., hand-washing, knife sterilising, and kit wash-down), food safety is a key imperative.
- Competently performing any other tasks for which training has been completed and signed off.
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will be reliable and able to stick to the shift pattern. You will be willing to transfer to a permanent role after 12 weeks with Staffline.
Applicants who have their own car or live locally to get to the site would be suitable for this role.
Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential, as full training is provided.
