Job Title: Sheet Metal Fabricator (Ducting Specialist)

Job Location: Leeds

Pay Range: £14ph - £16ph DOE

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours – Mon – Fri (7am – 3pm)

We are currently seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator with a strong background in ductwork fabrication to join our clients team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in precision work and wants to be part of a reliable business in the HVAC and ventilation sector.

You will be fabricating ducting components for commercial and industrial ventilation systems, working from technical drawings to produce high-quality, custom pieces in our fully equipped workshop.

What you’ll be doing:

• Fabricate rectangular, spiral, and custom ductwork to specification
• Operate guillotines, folding machines, notching tools, plasma cutters, and other workshop machinery
• Read and interpret HVAC ducting drawings and layout plans
• Assemble components with spot welding, riveting, or mechanical fixings
• Ensure all products meet quality and safety standards before dispatch
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
• Work alongside other fabricators, installers, and project managers to meet deadlines

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication, specifically ductwork
• Ability to work with 0.7mm – 1mm
• Thin Guage Ductwork experience is desirable
• Ability to read and interpret ducting drawings, specifications, and job sheets
• Skilled in the use of fabrication machines and hand tools
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High attention to detail and quality control
• Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeships in fabrication or HVAC
