Sales Engineer, Technical Sales
Our customer is a service provider specialising in repair/overhaul of customers machines
In your new role as Technical Sales Support:
You will be responsible for handling requests for technical quotes, following up on quotations/technical/general enquiries, Business development, engaging with inactive, current and prospect customers. Delivering excellent customer experience
Duties in your new role as Technical Sales Support:
- Prepare detailed technical cost estimates and build competitive, customer-specific proposals
- Create service, parts and new product quotes and maintain consistent follow-up communication with customers
- Actively utilize CRM to record activities, ensuring contact details are accurate, new information is added, and accurate call / visit logs are entered
- Research and analyse market trends, including parts pricing, and competitor offerings
- Liaising with customers, and internal departments, throughout the front-end planning ensuring timely service delivery.
- Provide technical expertise and application support throughout the sales lifecycle
- General and technical administration and support
- Attend client meetings, industry events, and conferences, requiring occasional travel.
To be considered for the role of Technical Sales Support
- Proven experience in technical sales - Electrical engineering, Machinery
- An Engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial)
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organisational levels
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure an adhere to strict deadlines
- A logical, analytical, and strategic approach to sales
- Ability to research and analyse market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events
Salary depends on experience 30-35K
