Picker/PPT Driver

Great opportunity to work as a Picker/PPT Driver for one of the UK's largest citrus & grape specialists.

Staffline is seeking experienced Pedestrian Pallet Truck (PPT) Drivers, who are also capable of working as pickers, to join their team in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire.

This is a temporary position.

The rate of pay is:

Days - £12.15 per hour - Overtime is paid £15.19 per hour after 48 hours
Nights - £14.70 per hour - Overtime is paid £18.38 per hour after 48 hours

The hours of work are:

Day shift working hours will be 07:00-19:00/19:30 - 4on 4off
Night shift working hours will be 19:00-07:00/07:30 - 4on 4off

You will be required to be flexible to meet the needs of the business.

Your Time at Work

As a PPT Driver, your duties include:

- Helping unload and load lorries
- Bringing the stock to the production lines
- Moving completed stock from production lines to the warehouse

As a warehouse picker at this site, your duties will include:

- Picking from a specific order sheet
- Following the order sheet to collect from the correct area within the intake
- Working as part of a team to achieve site goals
- Lifting packages that weigh up to 20Kg

Our Perfect Worker

Our ideal Picker/PPT Driver will hold a valid PPT license and be confident in operating PPT trucks in a fast-paced environment. We also welcome candidates with in-house certifications.

The successful candidate must be able to read and communicate in English, and have basic math skills. They should be comfortable working on their feet for the duration of their shift and possess a good level of physical fitness, as the role will involve heavy lifting of up to 20KG and lots of walking.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
