Great opportunity to work as a Warehouse Operative for our client - One of the largest temperature-controlled food distribution businesses in the UK.
Staffline is recruiting Warehouse Operatives in Boroughbridge, York (YO51 9NN).
The rate of pay is £11.44 per hour.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 45 hours a week (5 x 9 hours) on a day shift. (Start & finish times to be agreed.)
Your Time at Work
As a Warehouse Operative, your duties include:
- Receiving and inspecting goods upon arrival, checking for accuracy and damage.
- Storing items in designated locations and maintaining organized stock.
- Picking and packing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and secure packaging.
- Loading and dispatching goods for delivery.
- Inventory control through stock counting and updating records.
- Adhering to health and safety standards and keeping the work area clean.
Please note this role includes lifting and moving heavy objects, often up to 25kg.
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will be physically fit due to standing, walking, bending, and crouching throughout the duration of your shift. You will show good attention to detail and have good hand-eye coordination for tasks like picking and packing.
Applicants must have the ability to work in varied environments, which could include cold storage (-5 degrees).
Warehouse Operatives will have good time management skills to meet tight deadlines and work efficiently and be able to work as part of a team to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.
