This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement Leader to join a globally reaching manufacturing business.

You will be overseeing a team of 4 (Production Planner, Warehouse Manager, Customer Service Manager, Supply Chain Support) 

Duties

  • Forecasting levels of demands for products & budgeting.
  • Develop strategies to ensure that cost savings and supplier performance targets are met.
  • Undertake value for money reviews of existing supplier contracts.
  • Develop a comprehensive company purchasing strategy
  • Capturing manufacturing costs – analysing organisational spend
  • Produce supplier reports and statistics on spend by supplier/product
  • Analyse company overheads spend and produce & implement a cost reduction plan.
  • Manage preferred suppliers in terms of value, support and capability.
  • Build & Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers.
  • Negotiate and agree contracts & purchasing agreements.
  • Deliver structured procurement and buying processes.
  • Monitor ongoing compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Work with operations in regard to Non-Conformance – supplier related issues.

Requirements

  • MRP and ERP system experience
  • Experience within a Manufacturing/Engineering business (Desirable)
  • Experience of Production scheduling (Desirable)
